What to do next
- If you haven’t already uploaded photos, please email up to 5 photos, including of your family, your house and the au pair/parents' help’s room to info@sunfloweraupairagency.com.
- Please make sure you have Skype or WhatsApp video set up ready for interviews with applicants. In our experience, both families and applicants find it helpful to be able to see each other when trying to establish a connection and decide if they are right for each other.
Matching applicants and families
We take great care when trying to match your family with applicants who meet your requitements. We will provide you with the following details:
- Full registration form
- Photo
- Police and medical checks from the applicant’s country of origin
- References, with details for you to contact them
- A ‘Dear family’ letter sharing information about the applicant’s family background, education, experience with children and motivation behind wanting the placement.
When we send you details of prospective applicants, please respond quickly to confirm if you would like to interview them and ask for any additional information.
We will arrange for you to interview any applicants you are interested in (either online or in-person if they’re already in the UK). We again ask that you contact us quickly after the interview to avoid disappointment if you are interested in offering them a placement.
Once you have confirmed that you wish to accept an applicant, we will guide you through writing them a formal letter of invitation. You will also need to make your payment for agency fees at this stage.
