3 Half Term Activities To Consider This February

Spring half term, scarily, isn’t really all that far away. Children break up for the holidays on February 15th and won’t be going back to school until the 23rd… which is quite a long time to keep little ones well entertained, particularly at this time of year when the weather can be less than brilliant.

But there’s sure to be something going on in your local area that could keep everyone busy until they’re back in the classroom – so here are just a couple of half term activities around the UK that might prove appealing. Enjoy!

Chinese New Year in Manchester

The city celebrates Chinese New Year over three fun-filled days, with thousands of red lanterns, funfairs, fireworks, a Dragon Parade, martial arts and crafts, traditional lion dancing… it’s fun for the entire family.

Winnie the Pooh at the V&A

Heading to London for a few days with the kids? Then you absolutely must go to the V&A to see the Winnie the Pooh exhibition, which is on until April. The set designs look amazing and little ones will absolutely love it, feeling like they’re actually in the books themselves. There’s a lot of Pooh memorabilia to spot as well, so nostalgic adults will get just as much of a kick out of it as the kids.

Imagine Children’s Festival

This annual festival at the Southbank Centre in London is run by kids for kids, so your young charges should certainly enjoy themselves. Children’s theatre is being put on, lots of events by inspirational authors and all sorts of other free activities to enjoy.
