Budget-Friendly Outings For The Summer Holidays

If you approach an au pair agency in the UK to help you find work, hopefully, you’ll be spending the school summer holidays helping to look after one family’s children.

This is a great opportunity, but you need to have some ideas up your sleeves of how you’re going to keep the kids entertained during your long summer break. There are some great things to do, and many don’t need to be expensive either.

The Sun recently shared its top tips on how to keep little ones amused this summer. At the top of the list is taking the kids out for some time in one of the UK’s national parks. These areas of beauty are the ideal places to explore and develop their knowledge of nature.

Another outdoor option is a beach visit. Many of us are lucky enough to live within an hour or two of the coast and that means there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about along the seaside. Make sure you pack fun beach essentials like a frisbee if you’re planning a day on the coast.

Last month the Express picked out some of the UK’s best beaches to visit this summer. Among them were Carbis Bay in Cornwall, Sandbanks Beach in Poole, and Langland Bay in Wales’ Gower Peninsula.

Or you could stay really local and go camping in the back garden. The experience of putting up a tent and spending a night under canvas is great for youngsters. And if they’re in the back garden, you don’t have to worry about a lot of packing or bad weather.

You can help the kids get settled in their tent and spend some time on camping activities like setting up a bonfire and toasting marshmallows around it.
